We are looking for experienced, professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to
join our busy Transport Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers who take pride

What You'll Be Doing
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you'll play a vital role in
ensuring our products and equipment are transported safely, efficiently and on
time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating
HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally at all times
- Transporting
goods securely while complying with all UK driving laws and transport
regulations
- Completing
vehicle checks, defect reporting and driver hour requirements
- Carrying
out a variety of trailer work, including refrigerated trailers, curtain
siders, low loaders and containers
- Completing
delivery, collection and transport documentation accurately
- Providing
excellent service to customers and colleagues
- Maintaining
high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation
- Operating
a forklift or pump truck when required (training provided where
appropriate)
- Occasionally
driving our 30-seat company bus where required
Please note that vehicles are allocated according to
operational requirements, so drivers are not assigned a permanent vehicle.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- HGV
Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
- Current
Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous
experience operating HGV Class 1 vehicles
- Strong
understanding of driver hours, vehicle compliance and road transport
legislation
- A
positive, professional and safety-focused approach
- Ability
to work flexibly to meet operational requirements
Desirable:
- PSV
Licence
- Forklift
experience
If you don't currently hold a PSV Licence but are willing to
gain one, we can provide funded training.
Hours of Work
Average 55-hour working week on a rolling shift pattern:
- Week
1: 5 days on, 1 day off
- Week
2: 5 days on, 2 days off
This averages to one full weekend off in every twelve.
Occasional overnight stays may be required, with additional
overnight allowances paid.

per hour after 40 hours worked
